We, at Spencers, are not the cheapest in the marketplace, but we have heard no end of horror stories recently from people who have chosen internet marketing instead of an estate agent, because they are cheap. Stories filtering back to us are that buyers are not financially qualified, chains are not checked, conveyancing isn't chased, and that unfortunately people tell fibs to get the house they want. Finding a buyer for a house is just the start of a lengthy process of chain checking, chasing solicitors and helping with finance. Matching buyers and sellers, timescales, and explaining the complicated conveyancing issues along the way is very difficult to keep on top of if you are trying to do this yourself. You are also unlikely to get the best price, and when a price is renegotiated, are you willing to enter in to an argument with your buyer?
