Greetings! 

 

Welcome to our November Newsletter from Spencers Agents! We have had an outstanding October, with some properties that have been on the market for a longer time having had new interest and offers. Having been tortured about various nonsensical theories by my economics tutors (sorry Mr Taylor and Mr Kent), I now am pleased that I stayed awake in the lesson on basic supply and demand. We are in a position currently where stocks of properties across the city are down, due to both the economic climate and the time of year, and therefore for the properties that are for sale there is more competition, and less to go round. In some circumstances this has pushed prices higher than expected where people have just wanted to get on with organising somewhere to live, some properties even receiving multiple bids. Therefore if you are thinking of selling still this year November might be the perfect time to take advantage of this, and might get you a surprising result.

This month's Top Tip is ASK. Whether you are buying or selling a house, or whether you are just thinking about it at this stage, there is no such thing as a silly question. We have all found ourselves in situations where we need to know an answer but don't want to come across as stupid by asking it. In fact, the only stupid thing to do is NOT to ask and to still not know the answer. All of our staff have worked in estate agency for a number of years and have been asked a multitude of interesting questions, some that we have had to research the answers for to expand our own knowledge here as well. We will always be happy to answer ANY questions you have, please do not be afraid.
