Be Your Best You...with the Fall Product Program!

Encourage your daughter to be her best by participating in the 2013 Fall Product Program. This program helps fund activities in your daughter's troop and supports council-sponsored activities. Most important about the program, girls learn five key skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. These skills help them to become confident women and entrepreneurs of the future!

Participating in the Fall Product Program is easy as 1...2...3!

1) Attend a troop training session and receive program materials.

2) Ask friends and family if they would like to support Girl Scouting October 3-24 by purchasing delicious candies, nuts or magazines.

3) Deliver nut/candy products in November to customers and celebrate your troop's achievements!

If your troop is not participating in the fall program, please encourage them to do so. For those of you that are participating, don't forget to create your account

and send your e-mails for online magazine sales. Visit the fall product program website page to register!

For more information, contact the Product Sales Department at

1-800-672-2148 or visit our website.

Share your Goals!

GSCP2P and QSP want to know what your goals are for this year and how you will get started. We want your words to inspire and encourage other Girl Scouts to set and reach their own goals.

If you would like an opportunity to share your goals, please complete the participation form and return it to the Director of Product Sales no later than October 21.  Girl Scouts selected will be featured on the 2014 Be A Reader activity poster.

Congratulations to Kellie, from Girl Scout Ambassador Troop 20004, whose testimonial on the skills she learned from participation in the fall program were shared in this year's 2013 poster. If you have not yet read Kellie's testimonial, please ask your troop volunteer to share the poster with you.

Girl Scouts Give Back-
Troop Spotlight

Troop Enjoys Winter Weather

Back in January, Girl Scout Cadette Troop 10356 enjoyed a weekend at camp, where they enjoyed the winter weather, while starting their new Journey, aMaze. The troop is made up of 26 girls from 10 different schools.

Girl Scout Earns
Silver Award

Girl Scout Diana Jasany earned her Girl Scout Silver Award by spending more than 50 hours at Third Creek Elementary's PrimeTime program, where she tutored kids in spelling and math, helped them with crafts and played games. She also encouraged the children in the program to complete a one-mile fun run. Her Silver Award project also earned her the Mooresville's Kohl's Cares Award in June.

Troop Enjoys a Day at Amusement Park

Girl Scout Troop 41704 of Summerfield enjoyed a whole day at Carowinds to celebrate the end of their troop year. The girls rode a variety of rides and spent time at the water park.

Girl Scout Works Toward

 Silver Award

Girl Scout Mayden McDaniel of Girl Scout Cadette Troop 01972 is hosting several baby showers as part of earning her Girl Scout Silver Award. She is working to establish a baby closet of sleepers and blankets for the Birth Place at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Service Unit Provides Day of Service

Service Unit 115 coordinated a day of service with Brevard College's "Move a Mountain Day" initiative that allows freshmen to connect with organizations and agencies in the Brevard/Transylvania County area. With the help of 20 students, Ranger Paul, troop leaders, council staff and Brevard College faculty, they were able to newly sand and paint the porch, and thoroughly clean Girl Scout Little House.

Did your troop do something fun over the summer break like go on a trip? Or does your troop have plans to do a service project this fall? Send us your news and photos and you might be featured in the Troop Spotlight!

To be included in an upcoming issue, please
e-mail a photo and brief description of your troop's activity to the marketing department.
