All About Camping with P2P
Bugs in Our Ears!

Did you know that you can attend camp programs with your entire Girl Scout troop? Check out our Troop Explorers and Troop Trippin' programs at Ginger Cascades, Core Camp program at Keyauwee or Girl Scout University, Art-O-Rama or Pony Daze Encampments at Camp Pisgah! Go to www.camplikeagirl.org and click on the "Troop Camping" button on the right-hand side of the page.

We are also thrilled to announce we will have Day Camps offered at each location with convenient bus stops in: Arden and Asheville (Camp Pisgah); Dallas, Hickory, Morganton and Statesville (Camp Ginger Cascades); Asheboro, Colfax, High Point and Winston-Salem (Keyauwee Program Center).

Registration for 2013 Summer Camp is open now! We have tons of camping options this summer: resident camp programs from three days to two weeks, leadership programs, family camps for your whole crew or just you and your grown-up guy or gal and troop camping programs (register in E-biz)! We have programs for all girls entering grades 1-12 so you can even bring your best non-Girl Scout friend and introduce her to the wonderful world of Girl Scouts through summer camp!

Reserve your space at resident camp with just a $50 deposit before March 18 and you'll be able to save with our Early Bird discount, which is $50 off for most long programs and $25 off for shorter sessions. Camp scholarships are also available for girls who need some financial assistance to attend camp.

For any questions about summer camp or general troop camping questions contact Andria Johnson, Camping Services Manager, at (800) 672-2148, ext. 3109 or visit our website www.CampLikeAGirl.org.

Annual Membership Fee Increasing

Please note that the national Girl Scout membership fee for 2013-2014 will be $15. This begins with the Early Bird membership drive starting April 1, 2013. This is GSUSA's first fee increase in four years. These funds go directly to GSUSA for materials and program development, research and member insurance coverage.

Fund Development
First Annual Partnership for Girls
Campaign a Success!

Our first Partnership for Girls Campaign was a great success! During the campaign, 67 troops partnered with council staff to raise new dollars for programs and activities for girls. Together, nearly $42,000 was raised and these funds will go toward opening new doors and adventures for troops, as well as helping the council invest in more council-sponsored girl programming.

For those who were not able to participate in 2012, the 2013 campaign will kick off this spring, and we hope even more troops will join in the effort. Be sure to watch for new participation options.

Congratulations to those troops who won the drawing for ice cream parties and thank you again to all who participated!
