Cheers to the Return of our Wine Classes
Viktorija Todorovska
We would like to propose a toast to our new wine classes! Taught by Sommelier Viktorija Todorovska, these classes are designed for everyone interested in learning more about wine, no matter your experience or skill level. Don't know the difference between tannin and acid? No problem!

The Building Blocks of Wine fully covers the components of wine so that you will feel comfortable understanding and describing what you are tasting in a wine. There will also be specific class topics relating to wine such as navigating a restaurant wine list and of course, our favorite: food & wine pairings for parties!

Here are our upcoming wine class offerings:

Level 2 goes into even more detail on growing grapes, making and maturing wine and a deeper level of wine tasting. You'll taste wines from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and new world wine regions in this three-day course. Sparkling and fortified wines, as well as the major spirits, are also covered.

When a 6.0 earthquake rattled California's Napa Valley during the height of harvest and tourist season in August, USA Today sought out the insight of Fine Vintage's Owner & Master of Wine James Cleur.

The area is home to nearly 800 wineries, many of which were affected by the earthquake, whose epicenter was about 9 miles south of Napa. James also works as a winery consultant and gave his thoughts on the effect of the natural disaster on the popular wine region.
What We're Drinking Now
Provocateur is a textbook Oregon Pinor Noir from Jim Prosser, one of the most well-traveled and seasoned winemakers around. It pairs well with fall foods like salmon and pork loin and will also go nicely with Cranberry Sauce and sweet potatoes on the holiday table. Its notes of cherry, blueberry and rose are complemented by ripe fruit and vibrant acidity.
