 | Shelley Young at Apple Fest |
Thanks to everyone who braved yet another day of whacky Chicago weather to attend Apple Fest in Lincoln Square last Saturday. We sold a total of 320 Apple Pies!
Our staff used 2800 apples, 144 pounds of butter, hundreds of pounds of flour and sugar during a four-day baking bonanza. But all that work takes a toll. Read one of our baker's blog about the Aftermath of Apple Fest.
Want our famous Apple Pie recipe? We love to share!

Are your Halloween decorations scary old? Spiff up your home this holiday season with some new spooky fun. Be sure to scroll down to the end of this newsletter for a special discount only for our email subscribers. Throwing a haunted bash this year? Here are our favorite wicked party tips:
1. Check the calendar. Since Halloween is on Friday this year, parents will likely be busy with their kids that night so plan your event for Saturday. 2. Use a preserving solution like Pumpkin Fresh to keep your jack-o-lantern from spoiling before the party. 3. Skip the fog machine and burn incense throughout the house to create a smoky atmosphere. 4. Make a killer playlist for the night. The No. 1 song on Halloween playlists is Michael Jackson's Thriller, but Billboard's Top 10 Halloween Songs can provide inspiration. 5. A strobe light in the bathroom is just fun.
