Smashing Apple Fest  


Thanks to everyone who came out to last Saturday's Apple Fest in Lincoln Square. It was a gorgeous day to celebrate our favorite fall fruit!  


We went through 337 Apple Pies, or 2696 slices, which is a Chopping Block record. Our star of the show got some play in this video by Lincoln Square Patch.

To spice things up this year, we've added a Chili Cook Off! Submit your winning chili recipe to The Chopping Block's  Facebook page by next Tuesday, October 1st. The recipe (along with two others selected by our chefs) with the most "likes" will be featured during our Trunk Show. The public will taste the top three chili recipes and decide on a winner, who will receive a grand prize featuring items from Le Creuset, Lodge Cast Iron and more! Learn more.     

Trunk Show
is a lively, interactive and informative day. Our staff will serve up samples and pour lots of wine. Everyone is invited to this fun, free and fabulous event! No registration is necessary.

We are excited to welcome the Lincoln Square Friendship Center to our neighborhood. This community center will provide food, clothing and other household goods to our neighbors in need. We are partnering with the center to donate leftover ingredients from our cooking classes.
