Crepes

Crazy for Crêpes

While we certainly won't knock a good ol' banana and Nutella filled crêpe, the French-style pancake deserves to be elevated to new and different heights at times.

With savory to sweet variations, these recipes will have you craving crêpes for every meal from breakfast to dinner and even dessert:

Egg Spinach & Goat Cheese Stuffed Crêpes

Swiss Chard, Mushroom and Brie-Stuffed Buckwheat Crêpes with Tarragon Bechamel

Berry-Filled Whole Wheat Crêpes with Honey Yogurt

Through Thick or Thin: We Love Crêpes

A lot of people are scared to make crêpes. They worry they aren't thin enough, they don't have the right pan or they'll ruin a bunch. In reality, crêpes are actually very simple to make. Even with the time needed to rest the batter, you can whip out a batch in no time. And who cares if you mess up the first one? Full disclosure: we even did in the making of this video.

Shelley shows that crêpes are the perfect vehicle for all of the fresh vegetables available now, especially spinach. Watch it here.

Feed your Craving for Art

Making crêpes could be considered an art form. Chicago start-up Cureeo.com has curated a selection of delectable artworks that take inspiration from food. In their vision to support artists by bringing art directly to customers, the company focuses on original pieces and limited edition prints on their site. Curated exclusively for The Chopping Block customers, Cureeo has gathered creative talent from their site, as well as other online art resources. Each featured artist
listed below takes a tasty approach to their artwork, from tempting donuts, to abstract veggie tacos and lifelike seafood.
