83rd Annual Benefit Dinner
Drumm Farm Center for Children held it's 83rd Annual Benefit Dinner May 3rd, 2012. With our largest attendance to date, guests gathered at Thomson Hall to celebrate the accomplishments of Drumm over the past year and look forward to the future, filled with Bright Days and New Beginnings. A special congratulations to Dr. Michele McIntosh, recipient of the Berkemeier Award, honoring Dr. McIntosh's life-long commitment to Drumm.

New Programs at Drumm to Expand our Impact
As part of Drumm Farm Center for Children's efforts to impact and improve the lives of children in foster care, we are expanding our services to better meet the variety of needs that these special children and their families have.
COMPASS
Offering on-campus housing, instruction, staff supervision, and a network of support to help young adults who are aging out of foster care learn to live independently.
DRUMM FARM

Connecting kids with their environment in a fun, educational way with our on-campus farm and market.
DRUMMCARES
Offering post-placement services to facilitate transitions for children leaving Drumm to become a part of their forever family. COUNSELING SERVICES Providing individual and family therapy to children at Drumm as well as children residing with birth and foster families off site. |
Repurposed and Restored:
The Doors to Historic Swinney Hall Open
After over nearly a decade of planning, fundraising, and building, Swinney Hall is now the new home of Drumm Farm Center for Children Administrative Offices and Support Services. In addition to office space, the 3rd floor of Swinney will host COMPASS, Drumm's New Young Men's Independent Living Program.

Drumm Welcomes New Residents
In addition to new children on campus, we have recently welcomed a host of new animals! We are now home to: 5 sheep Approx. 50 chickens 1 rescued gosling 1 sheep dog named Toby and 3 alpacas will join us at the Farm, in the coming week! This has proven to be an awesome experience for our kids, as they learn about hard work, patience, teamwork, and responsibility, while discovering little quirks about Farm Life! |
