1 Thess. 4:13-14

Grant LeMarquand

Bishop Grant LeMarquand shares about the many challenges and the diversity of the church in Gambella, Ethiopia.(filmed in 12/2013)

"Within days the whole country was involved in a conflict which has killed thousands, and displaced hundreds of thousands. Despite the newly signed peace treaty, many, in the colloquial English of this region, are still "running away." When I was a kid to "run away" was a sign of cowardice; here it simply means survival - you run or you die."

The LeMarquands SAMS missionaries Bishop Grant LeMarquand and his wife Dr. Wendy LeMarquand are working through the Diocese of the Horn of Africa in Gambella, Ethiopia, to help meet the immediate needs arising from these refugees.  Their ongoing ministry in the church is to respond with the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ to these new and already existing communities.
