In The Shadow of Kilimanjaro
In the USA, Tanzania is not as well-known as neighboring countries in East Africa like Kenya and Rwanda, but it has all the natural beauty and has traditionally been more peaceful than its neighbors. It's a melting pot of tribes and religions: indigenous traditions have largely been replaced by Christianity and Islam, and there's a large contingent of people of Indian descent who are Hindu and Sikh. Interesting countries with interesting places often have a sizable international community. Tanzania is no different.

The Hoods especially request prayer as they engage with unbelieving ex-pats. Pray, too, this week for a conference workshop Jason is leading on "Teaching the Bible like Jesus taught it" for pastors and Sunday school teachers in the Diocese of Kilimanjaro.
