Matt and Sora Colvin give thanks for Matt's ordination as a priest in the REC's Diocese of the Central States. They also are thankful for a great first year of ministry in the Philippines, especially for the 100+ babies whose births Sora attended.

Prayer Requests:

Mike and Linda Chapman ask for prayers for safety while traveling in the mountains of Peru, for evangelism efforts in new areas, and for breakthroughs in the areas of building and well-drilling.

Please lift up Gregory and Heidi Whitaker in Cambodia and their work in the spiritual formation of the Khmer pastors and the strengthening of their churches. They also ask prayers for Heidi, that she and her baby would be healthy during her pregnancy. The baby is due July 4th. 

Vicki Robertson asks for prayers for the children  and staff at Casa Hogar Sagrada Familia in Peru, as they grieve over the death of their cook Sendy. Pray also for Sendy's three biological children, that they be comforted and cared for.

Please pray with Margarita Grachen for the next Young Ladies' retreat to be held on March 22 in Honduras, and for the very first Young Men's retreat as it is being planned for the same date. The participants are the young adults that attend the Osman Hope shelters.

Prayers are appreciated for God to move in a  mighty way in the hearts of the participants in the "Perspectives on the World Christian Movement" course in Blacksburg, Virginia, January 20 - May 5, 2014, which Mary McDonald is coordinating.

Grant and Wendy LeMarquand ask your prayers  concerning the fighting in South Sudan. Pray that it does not spread into neighboring Ethiopia, and also pray for the ongoing needs of new refugees.

Pray with Johann and Louise Vanderbijl that many partners would be raised up for their mission work in Gambella, Ethiopia.

Please lift up the St. Stephen's mission team to  The Hope of Jesus Children's Home in Honduras May 31-June 7, 2014. Pray for Mike and Kim Miller, the founders of the home, and also for the team leaders, Betty and Mike Kaszer.

Richard and Martha Menees request prayers for a safe transition to Egypt for their missionary service beginning February 12. Pray for more ministry partners and for their storage needs.

Please lift up Juan and Maria Isabel Marentes as Maria awaits reconstruction surgery for her ankle. Give thanks for Juan's full recovery from Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Please pray for the growth and maturity of the new church leadership in Belize that God has allowed them to train and inspire.

Eduardo and Hilda Monzon in Costa Rica ask prayers for a full recovery from Eduardo's vertebral column surgery. They also ask prayers for their ministry in encouraging spiritual life in the Diocese. Eduardo gives thanks for a successful spiritual retreat he organized as part of the Diocesan Convention.
