Writing Stories of Hope in Cambodia.

 

They are the bravest young women I know...

 

They come to us broken and wounded, addicted to drugs  and infected with disease, shells of the young women that God created them to be. They are 13 to 18 years old.  Some are from families who live in the city; others are from small villages throughout Cambodia.  They are young women who have been tricked by a neighbor into working a job far from home and find themselves in a brothel. Or they are from families with a lot of abuse and brokenness and sold by their own parents into a life of sexual exploitation.  Others have left home to find work or run away because of abuse and have found (read more...)
   
Guy and Summer Benton are SAMS missionaries, serving in CambodiaSummer has been serving in Cambodia for 3 years working with Cambodian social workers at an aftercare facility for rescued victims of human trafficking. Summer and Guy are newly married.

New Wineskins for Global Missions Conference
In Ridgecrest, NC

Join us at 2:30 PM on April 4 in Ridgecrest, NC, in the Mountain Laurel Inn, Jim Henry Auditorium, to a panel composed of bishops from a representation of the international dioceses with whom we partner.

 

At 4:15 PM we will hold our reception and dinner (5:00 PM) in the Johnson Spring Building Azalea Room followed by a presentation featuring several of our missionaries. This brief dinner presentation will conclude 30 minutes before the first scheduled program element of  New Wineskins.

We praise God for the safe and smooth transition for SAMS missionary Nicole Corlew, who recently began her ministry in South Africa.
  
  
 

Join us in thanksgiving for the missionary trainings that were held in the SAMS office in January.  We give thanks to God for the participants in the Missionary Bridger Intern Orientation, the Short-term Mission Leaders' Training, and the Crossroads Conference for career missionary discernment.
