She said that she felt fine during her routine follow-up visit. However, she had lost 20 pounds since last seen two months ago.

 

Carmen is an AIDS patient on treatment for several years and had been doing very well. But her rapid weight loss concerned me. Did she now have a resistant form of HIV? Had she abandoned her treatment?  read more...  

  

 

 

  Michael and Anita Dohn as SAMS missionaries in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, are ministering doctors and health promoters at Clinica de Esperanza y Caridad, and have worked with Carmen and many others like her.  

  

 

 

People living with HIV/AIDS give testimony to the value of Clinica Esperanza y Caridad's treatment program and the personal, caring atmosphere that the center provides.

Prayer Requests:     

 

Please pray for the people on the East Coast that are still trying to recover from Hurricane Sandy and also those who do not have power yet.  

 

 

 

We also ask prayers for SAMS missionary Mary McDonald as she travels to Gulu, Uganda, to launch the "Gospel Goat" project with the Anglican Church to help benefit resettled refugees who are struggling with HIV/AIDS.
  
 
Lift up in prayer the Diocese of Toliara in Madagascar where they are holding elections for the first bishop of their newly formed diocese on December 4th. 
 
 
 
  
 
Please join us in praying for SAMS candidates Tracy and Michael Guernsey as they await the birth of their first child.
