We have been adding a lot of claro walnut to our inventory lately; not just slabs but burls too. Claro walnut is a highly desirable wood for high end furniture. Found in northern California, it is a little darker than American Walnut and its color is often beautifully variegated making it a perfect choice for special projects. It also often tends to have curly or burly figure. Since the Claro Walnut trees can grow up to 5' in diameter the slabs we cut are ideal for table and countertops.
