Quality from Start to Finish

    

Most people don't realize the many steps we take to ensure that the lumber we sell is of the highest quality.

First, to get the best logs we travel around the country to personally select most of the logs we saw. Our Woodmizer 1000 sawmill is designed to saw quality slabs up to 67".

Second, we don't rush the drying process. Depending on species and the thickness of the wood we air dry our lumber for up to 3 years either outside or in one of our 6 covered sheds. Our hardwood slabs are then kiln dried in one of our 2 custom built Vacukilns. These kilns work especially well on wide slabs because it keeps them flat while drying and reduces the chance of degrade.

Next, we sand our slabs either with our 54" double head SMC sander or with our custom made disk sanders for extra wide slabs. This saves our customers both time and money. It, also allows the customer to get a better idea of what the wood looks like.

Finally, if you need your slabs shipped we wrap them in plastic and ship them in custom built fully enclosed crates for safe transport to you.
