Our sawyer, Jonathan Trotta, setting up a Beech log to be sawed on the WM-1000 bandsaw mill.
We sawed this huge 5' diameter beech log and produced some great slabs out of it. Beech has a nice light reddish brown color with slight ray flake. It is a very heavy, hard and strong wood so it is often used for flooring in high traffic areas. Unlike a lot of woods, it has no taste or color so it is also commonly used in food containers. We have beech slabs in thicknesses up to 16/4 and up to 77" wide.
We are always looking for photos of furniture pieces made from our lumber to be included in our newsletters and customer gallery section of our website. Just email us pictures of the items you have made from our lumber along with contact information. We are especially interested in pieces made from our wide lumber and slabs.
