Public Hearing - 2770 Thomas Ave S
The Minneapolis Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on the land use application for 2770 Thomas Ave S.
The application is for a variance to reduce the minimum interior side yard requirement adjacent to the north lot line to allow an addition to an attached garage located at the property of 2770 Thomas Ave S. Cedar Lake South Beach Public Hearing
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is holding a public hearing for the proposed design of Cedar Lake South Beach improvements.
Wednesday, March 166:30 p.m. (time certain) Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Headquarters 2117 West River Road Map The public hearing is a culmination of three community meetings held in the summer of 2015. If the plan is approved and when funding becomes available, the design will be constructed. Tree Grant Program
CIDNA funds are available to help residents maintain and promote healthy trees in the Cedar-Isles-Dean neighborhood. Program details: Grants are available to CIDNA property owners to help defray the costs of:
- Removing dead or diseased trees
- Treating diseased trees
- Removing buckthorn

$25 Trees!
Protect our tree canopy by planting a tree!
Trees are available for Minneapolis property owners for only $25! Choose from several varieties and sizes of trees. Details: Ordering opens on March 7th for Wards 3, 4, 5, 6, & 10 and March 21st for the rest of the city. - First-come, first-served. Order early for best selection.
- Limit one tree per property, maximum three properties.
- These five- to eight-foot trees cost $25 each and must be planted on private property in the city.
- Trees need to be picked up May 21-23.

Calhoun-Harriet Master Plan & Improvements
The Park Board is finalizing a vision and priorities for the master plan and improvements to Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet.
All meetings are open to the public and will include an opportunity for public participation and/or comment. Raingarden Workshops
Metro Blooms is offering raingarden workshops. This fast-paced and focused three-hour workshop explores simple changes you can make on your property that helps protect clean water and create healthy habitats. It includes the latest information in healthy yard care practices combined with our popular do-it-yourself approach to raingarden design and installation. Following a presentation you will have the opportunity to receive assistance from Landscape Designers and Master Gardeners in a small group setting to go over your particular property issues. Ten workshops are offered throughout the metro area from March-May 2016. Cost is $15 unless otherwise noted. For all the details, go to www.metrobloom.org.
