Burnham Road Bridge Grand Reopening
 
Come to the Reopening Celebration for the newly reconstructed Burnham Road bridge.

in making brief remarks before cutting the ribbon.

Calhoun-Harriet Master Plan and Improvements Project Update

Astromony Night
 
This free all ages event will have you enjoying the night sky,
observing planets, and learning about the solar system and the universe.

At the field on the NW corner of Lake Calhoun

Telescopes will be provided. Volunteers from the U of M and the MN Astronomical Society will educate and engage residents with presentations and telescope viewing.

The Minneapolis City Council is expected to vote on municipal consent for Southwest LRT at their next meeting.

Park Board to Host Closing the Gap: Insider Insights for Park Funding 
 
Join the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board at a public forum to hear how cities with valued park systems have tackled funding challenge.
 
Minneapolis' neighborhood parks are at a critical juncture. Funding reductions
have left a multi-million dollar gap in the resources needed to program, operate, repair and improve these highly used and aging neighborhood parks. Park systems across the country are facing similar issues. But older park systems with aging structures and features, like Minneapolis, may have the most difficult challenge of all.

West Lake Multimodal Transportation Study: Community Workshop #2
 
The City of Minneapolis is leading an area-wide multimodal transportation study for the West Lake LRT Station area.

This will be the second of three community workshops conducted as part of the study. You are invited to help review proposed changes to the area around the planned West Lake LRT station.

There will be information about the project as well as opportunities to provide feedback on the study results thus far.
The goal of the study is to provide recommendations that can be implemented as part of the construction of the Southwest LRT or other future investments in the area.
 
The format will be casual and attendees are welcome to come as and go as they please.
