Greenway/Lake St Transit Open House                

 
Share your opinion about Metro Transit's study of transit alternatives for Lake Street and the Midtown Greenway.

Options have been narrowed to the following:
  • Enhanced bus on Lake St
  • Passenger rail on the Midtown Greenway
  • Dual option of enhanced bus on Lake St and rail on the Midtown Greenway
The final opportunity for public input is tonight:

6 - 8 p.m., with a presentation starting at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The key results of the analysis will be presented, including cost, projected ridership and travel time changes. You can access the presentation materials here and the display boards here.

Your attendance is important, as Metro Transit seeks public input on which of the three alternatives should move forward for more detailed design, engineering and construction.

Parkway Construction This Weekend              

 
Two projects are taking place this weekend (Saturday, November 23 - Sunday, November 24) that will impact use along segments of Cedar Lake Parkway and Dean Parkway:
  • Cedar Lake Parkway Congestion - The Metropolitan Council Environmental Services contractor will be drilling 12" water investigation/locate holes from
    9 am -3 pm, Saturday, November 23. Cedar Lake Parkway could possibly be congested on the west side of Kenilworth Trail; detour signs will be posted.
  • Dean Parkway Temporary Closure - Dean Parkway, from Lake Street north to the railroad bridge, will be closed 9 am Saturday, November 23 until 3 pm, Sunday, November 24.
