Final Park Siding Park Public Meeting Tonight!       

 
Two different playground designs are being considered for the park, and Metropolitan Council Environmental Services would like the community's
input to help select the final design.

Join project staff at the open-house style meeting for light refreshments, a look at the two playground designs, and an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions.
 
This will be the last opportunity to provide playground design comments before the preferred
design is finalized and presented to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board for its
consideration and approval.

Park Siding Park is located on 28th St. W. near Xerxes Ave. S., in the CIDNA neighborhood. The restoration of Park Siding Park is part of MCES's Cedar Lake Area Sewer Improvements Project.
 
 
Earth Day Clean Up
 
Join your neighbors and friends in cleaning up the lakeside in
celebration of Earth Day.

Spring Street Sweeping
 
Spring street sweeping is scheduled to begin in Cedar-Isles-Dean the
week of April 22.   

"No Parking" signs will be posted at least 24 hours before sweeping any streets.
Parking will be banned from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the day a street is swept.
PLEASE NOTE that due to the late departure of winter, sweeping on some days
may be postponed.

Current information will be posted on the City's website.

 

Midtown Corridor Alternatives Analysis           

 
The Midtown Corridor Alternatives Analysis is an initiative to determine
the benefits, costs and impacts of creating a new transitway on either the
Midtown Greenway or Lake Street.


The study is looking at transitway options (busway, bus rapid transit, street car, and  
light rail transit) between the future Southwest Light Rail line and the Hiawatha  
Light Rail line. 
 
All are welcome to attend the next meeting of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC):

Waste Management's recycling facility.

Parking: After entering the front parking lot, veer to the left and go beyond the front parking area. Beware of truck traffic. Park and proceed toward the front of the building where you will find steps up to a doorway. Waste Management staff will greet you, get you signed in and take you to the education center where the tour will begin promptly at noon.

 

Dress: Comfortable walking shoes (no open toed shoes or spike heels). Waste Management will provide safety gear.

 

Lunch will not be offered this month.

 
 

Kenilworth Alliance Meeting         

 
This neighborhood task force includes residents of the three most
heavily impacted Minneapolis neighborhoods along the "Locally
Preferred Alternative" route of the proposed Southwest Transitway,
as well as representatives from the citizen-run Cedar Lake Park
Association.
