PAMPER THE PASTOR EDITION

Dear Trinity Pines Partners,

As we celebrate another year of ministry at Trinity Pines, we would like to dedicate this edition of the newsletter to the many pastors and ministry leaders who faithfully serve the Lord in countless ways.

One way that we seek to serve those who are serving, is by hosting Pamper the Pastor retreats for ministers and their families.

That opportunity has been greatly enhanced by our new Family Cabins, and the construction of our Family Cabins would not be possible without our amazing volunteers. So I guess you could say that we are celebrating how God is using the members of the Body of Christ as they use their spiritual gifts for Kingdom impact through Trinity Pines.

Join us in giving thanks to the One we serve, our Lord and Savior, as we join believers around the world in celebrating Jesus' birth.

MANY THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU FROM THE STAFF AND BOARD OF TRINITY PINES CONFERENCE CENTER!!!!

INTERNATIONAL PASTORS

We have church pastors from numerous countries who have been coming to Trinity Pines for complementary personal retreats for many years. One who has truly appreciated this opportunity for himself and his family over the past 8 years is Samuel Wieja.

Pastor Wieja, who is originally from Argentina, has been a pastor for 37 years, 9 of those in Houston. He had been coming to Trinity Pines with Leaders Edge & Lideres Transformadores, when he first learned about the Pamper the Pastor opportunity.

He says, "One of the most special memories I have of Trinity Pines is that my son, Sebastian was married here after also first meeting his wife here in 2004."

We are so grateful to be able to offer this gift of hospitality to those who so need and desire dedicated time in a spiritual setting with their Lord and with their families.

PAMPER THE PASTOR: AN INVITATION TO PASTORS AND STAFF AND THEIR FAMILIES

"...come away with Me by yourself and get some rest." Mark 6:31

Serving pastors and their families was personally significant to Director Phil Springer, since he was a pastor before coming on staff at Trinity Pines and had experienced the ongoing demands of full-time ministry. Pamper the Pastor was already a ministry, but Phil was eager to expand and improve it in an effort to bless those who were serving.

The PTP ministry invites full-time paid ministerial staff to enjoy up to 4 nights for a personal retreat by themselves or with their families at no cost. We offer this opportunity from September-May and it includes meals if we are serving them.

Children's Minister Candy Lartigue says about the Pamper the Pastor experience, "We took the time last year during Spring Break and it was a great family time together and such a relaxing environment to destress."

We pray that many other pastors, ministers, and their families will take the opportunity to spend some time away with the Father, and enjoy His awesome creation here at Trinity Pines.

Farley Cabin Dedication

FARLEY CABIN DEDICATION

In 2004, Terry and Kim Farley came with Campers on Mission to serve at Trinity Pines on a project. They felt the Lord leading them to stay and help through the summer and, thankfully, continued to serve for 4 more lifechanging years.

Terry and Kim were the Trinity Pines volunteer coordinators for the Campers on Mission, Texas Baptist Men Camp Builders, TBM Brick Masons, and SOWERS. They invested in the lives of countless summer and year round staff while they served here, and many of those relationships continue even stronger today.

One thing that they have been passionate about is "loving on" pastors and folks in ministry. When several summer staff who were recipients of Terry and Kim's encouragement and guidance sought an opportunity to honor them, naming a Family Cabin after them was the perfect fit. New Family Cabins were being built with primarily our pastors and their families in mind. Daniel Walters and Jacob Springer, began to get the word out to other summer staff, as well as friends and family of the Farleys, to raise funds to build a Farley Cabin.

On November 25th, the Farleys, their family, and several local staff gathered for the Farley Cabin Dedication. What a privilege for us to honor and celebrate the Lord's faithfulness to and through this special couple. Many Pamper the Pastor retreats have already occurred in the Farley Cabin and we know that many more will enjoy this ministry to Pastors and their families for years to come. A HUGE THANK YOU to all who made the dedication possible.

PAMPER THE PASTOR SPONSORSHIPS...

Every year at this time, plans are made for our upcoming projects. God has caused tremendous growth and development in the past 10 years of Trinity Pines' ministry. Much of that is a result of His leading the donation of time, finances, and resources by our supporters and volunteers. The majority of Trinity Pines' growth is financially supported by individuals.

Please pray about how God may want you to be involved in partnering in His work at Trinity Pines.

Here are the upcoming projects & some financial opportunities for ministry:
