Ministry Quicklinks

Dear Trinity Pines Partners,

We continue to join the rest of our state in praying for rain. We are truly grateful to the Lord that we have not been impacted by the local fires at this time. However, the drought's effect on camps and retreats continue with the burn ban, which disallows campfires and grilling. Also, Lake Livingston is down 4 feet at this time, which affects lakefront activities. We are losing more trees every day as is the case across our area.

We are praising God that we did receive almost 3 inches of rain this past weekend. Please join us in praying for the Lord to send more rain in the days and months ahead.

WHO WE SEE

Our numbers are in for the past 12 months and they continue to reflect Trinity Pines' connection to the nations.

Of the groups that utilize TPCC, over half of them are from a non-Anglo church or ministry.

We often claim our ethnically diverse guest clientele as a unique aspect of our Trinity Pines' ministry and that is truly confirmed by these recent stats:

  • Anglo- 48%
  • Hispanic-37%
  • African American- 7%
  • Asian/Middle Eastern/Other- 8%

Please join us in praying that we learn to serve each guest group's culture in a way that expresses the Father's love and will draw them closer to Christ.

 GOD KEEPS AMAZING US

One of the main challenges Henry Blackaby makes in his high impact book "Experiencing God" is for believers to find where the Father is at work and join him there. God is clearly at work in camp and retreat ministry.

Here is some spectacular news from Summer 2011:

  • 8,433 Guests
  • 23,545 Nights Spent
  • Estimated 350 First-time Decisions for Christ
  • Over 500 Renewals

At Trinity Pines, the Lord is working in unprecedented ways and we want to honor and glorify His Name for the work that He is accomplishing. Thank you for the ways that you have joined Him in His work here.

FAMILY CABIN DEDICATION

Several years ago, Trinity Pines hosted a fundraising dinner, sharing specific aspects of the ministry that would utilize donations to further God's work here. Ron and Ann Harrell heard about the impact of our Pamper the Pastor ministry, and felt God leading them to sponsor the construction of one of our eight Family Cabins.

Ron and Ann were one of the primary leader couples of a group of volunteers from Memorial Baptist Church who have been coming to and working at Trinity Pines for over 20 years. Ron also served on the Trinity Pines Board of Directors.

Ann went to be with the Lord at the beginning of this year after a long battle with cancer. The cabin is a wonderful symbol of their family's true legacy of love for the Lord and service in His Name.

God worked it out so that not only were Ron & his children able to celebrate the dedication of the Harrell Family Cabin, but his pastor and friends from church were, as well. They were here working on their annual volunteer project and joined the Harrell family at the cabin for the dedication.

As of now, four of the eight Family Cabins are complete. They have been built 100% by volunteer labor and they are reserved and used almost every weekend for retreats and weekdays for Pamper the Pastor.

NEW WORK

Every year at this time, plans are made for our upcoming projects. God has caused tremendous growth and development in the past 10 years of Trinity Pines' ministry. Much of that is a result of His leading the donation of time, finances, and resources by our supporters and volunteers. The majority of Trinity Pines' growth is financially supported by individuals.

Please pray about how God may want you to be involved in partnering in His work at Trinity Pines. slip and slide
