Ministry Quicklinks

Summer Staff 2011
Dear Trinity Pines Partners,

Summer camps wrapped up this month, most of our Summer Staff have returned to their colleges and homes, and weekdays are noticeably quieter.

Trinity Pines had a remarkable summer by every measure: eternal impact, decisions for Christ, and life changing relationships that were made and strengthened.

The year-round staff want to say a huge THANK YOU to the amazing team who joined us this summer. Our guests were grateful and commented often about the kind, Godly young people who served them this summer.

Many thanks to each of you, our ministry partners, for your support and prayers throughout the summer.

"Guests from ALL NATIONS" (Matthew 28:19-20)

One of the blessings of summer is that we not only serve guests from many nations, but we also serve alongside staff from around the world.

This summer we had several students who brought with them diverse life experiences from other cultures and nations.

Priscilla "Relay" Reyes and Estéban "Buzz" Lira from Del Rio serve alongside their families most days each week at Beth Israel Church in Acuña, Mexico. Eva "Dimples" Edworthy's parents are International Mission Board missionaries in Europe. Ethan "Mayday" Mitra spent most of his childhood in Turkey where his family continues to serve as IMB Missionaries. Midsummer, we hosted a youth group in which many of the students had been adopted from Russia. Yulia Tarwater was one of those students and she volunteered as an intern for a couple of weeks this summer.

Trinity Pines continues to grow in its connection to ministries across the globe, and we pray that God will use and bless those relationships for His Kingdom purposes.

 "experiencing God"  (John 14:21 & 23)

Each of our international students were not only a blessing to our staff and guests, but they also shared their testimonies with Trinity Pines Preteen Camp. The preteens and sponsors were touched by the moving stories of God's work in the lives of our international staff and we are grateful that God brought each of them to Trinity Pines to serve this summer.

In July, we served over 3500 guests who spent a total of 10,832 nights at Trinity Pines. We served adults, children, youth, and families, from Austin, College Station, Houston, Waco, and Dallas. We had bands, corporations, churches, & ministries. Many of the groups have been coming for years, and many were first time guests.

We are praising God for another wonderful month of ministry. We will share a more extensive summary of the summer in September's newsletter.

We recently received a very kind report from Denice Myers, who is a Stephen F. Austin student working on her doctoral internship in educational leadership. Here is what she had to say about her experience as a guest at Trinity Pines while here with Prayer Tabernacle. Read More

Every year at this time, plans are made for the upcoming projects. God has caused tremendous growth and development in the past 10 years of Trinity Pines' ministry. Much of that is a result of His leading the donation of time, finances, and resources by our supporters and volunteers. The majority of Trinity Pines' growth is financially supported by individuals rather than churches.

Please pray about how God may want you to be involved in partnering in his work at Trinity Pines. Here are the upcoming projects & some financial opportunities for ministry:

Trinity Pines Preteen Camp Scholarship                           $50

PAVE THE PATH TO WORSHIP- Develop  the 1,000
foot path between the Office/Dining Hall & the new
Mary Helen Smith Worship Center. This will include

fountains                                                                            $100/ft.

that God has used to minister to many of His
servants through the years.                                               $200

Pines hires around 28 additional high school and college

We hope that you will plan to come see for yourself all that God is doing at Trinity Pines.  In the meantime, prayer is what created this ministry and it is your prayers that will strengthen and sustain it.  Please continue to lift this ministry up to the Father.  If you would like to receive monthly prayer requests throughout the school year, please subscribe to update your options and check the "prayer" option. Thank you!
