Thank you for your desire to support God's work through our shared ministry.

Ministry Quicklinks

Dear Trinity Pines Partners,

Thank you for your faithful prayer support. May finished strong and we have already completed our first week of summer camp. Of our 28 Summer Staff Ministry Team members, 14 are returning staff, and there are 14 males and females. We now have 12 trained lifeguards and 22 trained ropes course facilitators. All 28 team members will also serve our guests as housekeepers, maintenance and dining hall workers!

Trinity Pines Mission Statement is:

"Guests from ALL NATIONS, experiencing God through a Christ centered spiritual setting, so that

they might know Him better"

In this issue of our newsletter, we will share: how Memorial Day epitomized the international nature of Trinity Pines, how God is using the network of ministry relationships to grow our faith, updates on one of our staff couples, and an intro to our Summer Staff  Ministry Team.

We have some exciting news to share with you, our supporters. The first week of camp brought an unexpected, but certainly welcomed, phone call and visit to our campus from ABC News Nightline. They were interviewing Don Piper, author of "90 Minutes in Heaven" and Anita Onarecker Wood, author of "Divine Appointment-Our Journey to the Bridge" for a show on the topic of prayer. It was an eventful day at Trinity Pines!  We will share more details about the day in July's newsletter and will hopefully have a scheduled date for the airing of the interview at that time, but it is tentatively scheduled to air in July.

Please continue to pray for our summer guests, summer ministry team, and for changed lives for all.

ONE DAY

We often say that one does not need to travel overseas to engage in international ministry opportunities. Memorial Day was a great reminder that Trinity Pines has become a network and a resource connection for the nations. We were reminded of God's kingdom work taking place among people of every tribe and tongue right here.

Here is a rundown of the friends and guests that came to or contacted Trinity Pines in that one day:

1.  Vadim and Emma Kruglikov - Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. We learned about their "Good Deed" ministry.Their daughter, Lilia, was a much loved summer staffer in 2009.

2.  Sally Hinzie/Union Baptist Association and her husband, Leonard - Houston, TX. They kindly brought the Kruglikovs to Trinity Pines.

3.  El Buen Pastor - Houston, TX. Their family is originally from Argentina and were here enjoying our Pamper the Pastor ministry.

4.  New Life Church - West Houston. Their church with members of Korean descent had a family retreat.

5.  Beth Israel Church - Acuņa, Mexico. New friends brought their students to be part of our summer staff.

6.  Edwin Juma/Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) - Nairobi, Kenya. He was making arrangements for his upcoming stay this month.

7.  Multiple other groups were here doing retreats and picnics, as well.

God continues to remind us that His children come from every land, speak a multitude of languages, have different forms of worship, but all share the most important common desire- to know and love the Lord Jesus more.

GOD IS AT WORK ALL AROUND US

During Spring Break 2011, some of our Trinity Pines staff spent several days in Del Rio, Texas. They travelled each day to Acuņa, Mexico where they ministered at churches, a children's home, and the prison.

Several needs for resources were expressed by our brothers and sisters in Mexico, including chairs for one of the churches and dressers for the children's home. Read More

JUST IN TIME

One of the major projects that was accomplished by our volunteers this spring was the renovation and expansion of the Hall Cottage. This one bedroom apartment has housed many staff families and individuals through the years, but the expansion was necessary to accommodate a growing staff family. Read More

SUMMER STAFF MINISTRY TEAM 2011

One of our summer staffers is a returner from 2 summers ago. Ethan Mitra is a journalism major and we gladly accepted his offer to assist with our newsletter. Here is a bit of his story and an article that he graciously agreed to write:

His Story
I was born in New Orleans, LA in 1991.  My parents were at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary during this time. Though born in the U.S. I spent most of my life abroad. I have lived in Zimbabwe, Germany, Canada and Turkey. Istanbul, Turkey is where I spent the majority of my time. Some of my most treasured memories are from times spent with refugee families.  I especially loved being in the house churches of refugees.  Read More

We hope that you will plan to come see for yourself all that God is doing at Trinity Pines.  In the meantime, prayer is what created this ministry and it is your prayers that will strengthen and sustain it.  Please continue to lift this ministry up to the Father.  If you would like to receive weekly prayer requests through the summer months, please subscribe to update your options and check the "prayer" option. Thank you!
