Dear Trinity Pines Partners,
May is here! Any camp staffer will tell you that May is exciting, busy, stressful, and too short. We have much to accomplish as we prepare for Summer Camps. Forty-five percent of Trinity Pines annual camper nights will happen this summer as it has every summer since 1980. We are anticipating 4,000+ campers and sponsors in addition to our weekend retreat guests in Summer 2011.
Trinity Pines Mission Statement is:
"Guests from ALL NATIONS, experiencing God through a Christ centered spiritual setting, so that
they might know Him better"
Final preparations are being made in:
- facilities
- staff
- schedules
- training
Please join us in praying for each of these areas. Mostly, let's pray that many lives are changed for eternity as our guests experience God here at Trinity Pines. |

GOING GA-GA
Summer is all about camp. Camp is all about kids. Kids are all about fun. Fun is what we have every day at Summer Camp! This summer we are excited to include a new activity at Trinity Pines and it is...
GA-GA!!!!!!!
Ga-ga is dodgeball with walls and it has gained incredible popularity across the nation and the world. We are hopeful that it will be a recreation activity that appeals to guests of all ages and nationalities. Read More |

PAMPER THE PASTOR
We know that God is at work through the lives of those called to serve Christ in full-time ministry. Trinity Pines Board and Staff have a heart for Pastors and their families and long to support them as they serve their local Bodies of Christ. From September-May, Trinity Pines invites ministers to enjoy free lodging up to 4 nights annually, and meals if we are serving. Pastors come relax, reflect, and enjoy God's creation alone or with their families. Here is an inspiring story of Trinity Pines' connection with one of those families.
"My husband and I are missionaries who serve both locally and internationally. On top of running a non-profit organization
(alleyesonmeinc.com) feeding the homeless 7 nights a week in downtown Houston, and holding a weekly youth service in the 5th Ward (a ghetto near downtown), we planted a church around 11 weeks ago, thus making us pastors Read More

SUMMER STAFF MINISTRY TEAM 2011
Each summer, God puts together a team of individuals from all walks of life and different backgrounds, and with unique gifts and life dreams who all share one common desire: to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as a part of the Trinity Pines Summer Staff Ministry Team.
This is Danny Gearheart's second summer to recruit, train, and supervise this team. He says, "The Lord has assembled a great staff this summer and we're all chomping at the bit to make an impact for His Kingdom through our service at Trinity Pines this summer and beyond."
The recruiting and hiring is nearly complete.
Here is how our 28 member team shaped up:
14 returning staffers
11 different colleges
9 current or past homeschooled students
8 missionary/pastor's kids
7 high school-aged students
6 graduating seniors
6 Sam Houston State students
3 out-of-state students
Lifeguard, ropes course facilitation, and general Trinity Pines staff training begins this month.
Join us in praying now for Danny and our staff as relationships are formed and training begins, for the safety and spiritual growth of our summer staff, and for the lives of the campers and guests that will be impacted by a Christ-centered ministry team.
"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free."
Ephesians 6:7-8

We hope that you will plan to come see for yourself all that God is doing at Trinity Pines. In the meantime, prayer is what created this ministry and it is your prayers that will strengthen and sustain it. Please continue to lift this ministry up to the Father. Thank you!
