TIPS & NEWS &
MARKET UPDATES!

Slushy Minnesota...  What to do NOW

to get ready to sell in the Spring?

SORT

Start cleaning out the closets...hopefully it's time to pack up the winter gear. As the boots, mittens and scarves are getting cleaned and packed away, determine if they will be suitable for another season or if they should be tossed or donated. Pack into a plastic box or moving box, label for season.

DONATE

One of my favorite tips for donating...  keep a box or bag in a closet for donations. Then you always have a handy place for out of season, out of style and out grown kids items. When the Vets or Courage call to say, "We'll be in your neighborhood", you have that box ready!

PRUNE

Before the snow is all gone... pull on some Wellingtons, find the pruning shears and get out into the yard to trim up bushes and trees. Cut back any trees or bushes that are up against the siding or roof for starters. Then shape up the hedges and lilac bushes too. When you are done, bring a few branches of flowering bushes and trees inside and put them in a large vase of water...in a few days they will bloom and/or leaf out. This works well with Lilacs, Red Twig Dogwood, Forsythia, Crab Apples and many more.

Forcing Flowering Branches

When you get a vase out for the branches...look into the back of the cupboard and see if there is anything in there that hasn't been used in years...remember that donation box!

No need to fear a bubble...

CoreLogic Reports:

"Rising interest rates and the 'unlocking' of pent-up supply as home prices continue to increase are expected to slow the pace of home price appreciation," Fleming notes. "At the same time, continued improvement in the economy will modestly increase income growth. The net effect is that home prices are expected to remain slightly undervalued relative to income levels through the end of 2015."

Recent Wall Street Journal exclaims:

"Americans fed up with over-sized, over-designed McMansions are finding saner shelter in houses 'historic" on the outside - but full of walk-in closets and modern kitchens within."
