Eighth-grader Raises $425 for First Call

Williston eighth-grader Nathan Bamberger coordinated an evening of music that raised $425 for First Call, the 24/7 youth and family crisis hotline that fields 15,000 calls every year. The May 29 event, which Nathan coordinated as part of a school community service project, featured the Essex Chidren's Choir and the Queen City Larks.

Nathan's concern for teen depression and suicide prompted him to select First Call as the beneficiary.
