Sabatino Chen Meet & Greet at STC Center
「夢想面對面」- 籃壇未來之星陳山眉座談會在東區第一會館舉辦

STC Center/STC Fundation has been spotlighting talented young youths in order to motivate and inspire the community. We recently invited future prospective basketball star Sabatino Chen to participate in "Facing your dreams" seminar at STC Center. This gathering focused on key aspects within competitive basketball such as the spirituality of working together with teammates towards the common goal of victory to practicing in order to hone skills on the court. By sharing this event with the public and press, STC Fundation hopes to strengthen people's resolves to follow their dreams through Sabatino's accounts of his personal experience and encourage all those who love basketball to follow and pursue their dreams.
Sabatino Chen, a graduate of the University of Colorado was in Los Angeles doing training. He hopes to be able to play professionally and has voiced his dream of joining a European or Asian league in order to increase his skills and prowess of basketball. Chen has voiced that with the success of Asian-American NBA stars such as Jeremy Lin, he wishes to join the NBA as well and inspire others to achieve this dream.
Sabatino Chen's legal advisor and Hacienda Heights School District board, Gino Kwok, has been a great help to Sabatino Chen in his promotion. Gino has said that he is constantly looking for new foreign talent to join the NBA. Many Chinese community leaders, including Roy Kao, Commissioner of Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission and chairman of Chinese World Basketball Federation, and Bee Hsu, the president of Taiwan Benevolent Association of California, came to support this outstanding youth as well. STC順天聯合基金會秉持著回饋社會，培育年輕新秀的使命，特別邀請籃壇未來之星陳山眉（Sabatino Chen）來參加STC順天聯合「夢想面對面」座談會，跟大家分享一路走來的心路歷程，包括在競爭激烈的籃球運動中，如何跟教練與隊友相處互動，同心協力地朝向勝利的目標邁進、如何精進自己的球藝、以及如何能夠堅定自己的信念等等，透過這場活動與大家分享親身的經歷，鼓勵熱愛籃球運動的朋友們，勇於追求夢想。 美籍華裔的陳山眉今年從NCAA美國大學第一級科羅拉多大學畢業，目前正在加洛杉磯自我訓練。他表示是受到林書豪在NBA成功例子的鼓舞，希望自己也能圓夢NBA。 陳山眉的法律顧問、哈崗教委委員郭志表示,他願意協助更多華裔球員挑戰NBA。當天，僑務委員、中華籃球協會總理事長高啟正，加州台灣同鄉聯誼會會長朱碧雲等多位僑界領袖均到場支持這位優秀的華裔青年。

Melody Yao's Graduation Performance Press Conference at STC Center
姚鳳鳳個人舞展記者會在東區第一會館舉辦

To support outstanding Asian youth, STC Center/STC Fundation held a press conference for Melody Yao, a talented dancer, and the Best Talent Award winner of 2008 Miss Asia. This event, hosted by STC Center Director Ms. Anne Ma, promoted Melody's graduation performance taking place on 6/30 at Citrus College in Glendora. Melody's brother, a well-known Asian Entertainer, VanNess Wu made a special appearance during the conference, bringing her flowers to offer his support. Melody's mother and dance teachers were also present to introduce her to the media and give input on her growth as a dancer and as a young adult.
Melody's Graduation Performance, A Journey to Dreams, will be held on June 30, 2013, at Haugh Performing Arts Center.
Melody hopes to inspire others to never give up on their dreams as she shares her journey to reaching her dreams during this dance performance.100% of the profits made will be given to Families with Children from China-Southern California (FCC-SoCal) to help continue spreading the rich Chinese culture throughout the community, if there is no profit made, then a portion of the proceeds will be given.

 為支持傑出亞裔青少年，STC順天聯基金會合在 STC Center 東區第一會館為優秀舞者、2008年「亞洲小姐才藝獎」得主姚鳳鳳 (Melody Yao) 6月30日的個人舞展舉辦記者會，由 STC Center 負責人馬淑芬老師主持。其兄長、著名藝人 Van Ness 吳建豪更到場獻花支持。姚鳳鳳的母親和舞蹈老師們為媒體介紹了她的成長歷程。
姚鳳鳳的「鳳之舞」(A Journey to Dreams) 個人畢業舞展將於6月30日晚七時日於 Haugh Performing Arts Center 劇院盛大舉行，
由知名編導王馨悅老師擔任藝術總監、徐文綺、章雅婧編舞排練，馨悅舞團協助演出。
本次舞展除了是姚鳳鳳對於舞蹈熱情的具體呈現外，也是傳承中國文化與鼓勵年輕學子，尤其是亞裔青年，一起來透過舞蹈展現自我，表達對於藝術的熱愛。為推廣藝術及教育，本次活動之部份收益將用於成立獎學金來幫忙助養孤兒的家庭、低收入家庭、殘障學生與非營利慈善組織，讓姚鳳鳳對於舞蹈的熱愛與助人的熱心傳達給需要幫助的人們。

A Journey to Dreams is Melody Yao's graduation dance performance. Melody Yao will be graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles this year. She is currently the Artistic Director of the Chinese Cultural Dance Club at UCLA. As Melody is about to start the next chapter in her life upon graduating from college, she would like to share her love and passion for Chinese dance by inviting the community to watch and take part in her journey thus far.
