WINTER GUARD CONTINUES SEASON WITH EXCELLENCE

At Oak Grove High School recently, Winter Guard earned Class Champion honors, with the highest movement and design scores of all 15 groups at the event, second highest for Effect and Equipment, and the second highest score overall.

THIRD GRADE BIOGRAPHY DAY



Last Thursday, JA third grade students participated in the annual Biography Day. As part of the celebration, students chose a famous historical American figure to study and read a biography about them. Furthermore, they prepared a presentation about what they learned as well as celebrated the day by dressing as their character they researched.

Congratulations to Lauran Sheriff for once again being named a top performer. Lauran scored 12 points during the basketball game against Presbyterian Christian and 17 points during the game with Jackson Prep. 

THIRD THURSDAY THIS WEEK



MATH TECHNIQUES
February 18, at noon in the Upper School Library

Learn the tricks of the trade in the math world! Ways to conquer multiplication, subtraction, and addition facts will be covered during the session, as well as techniques to support your child's math studies. Leave this Third Thursday with a greater understanding of the applied math principles your child is learning.

SIMULATION SATURDAY: CLOSED CIRCUIT



SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28

Join us for an engaging introduction to the world of electricity on Saturday, February 28. During the Simulation Saturday, students invent their own electrical gadgets using readily available materials, such as plastic film canisters and holiday lights. Students will also investigate an array of clever electrical devices by first exploring their functions and then learning how their circuits work. They will even create their own "LED Throwie" and closed circuit board during the event.
