Tony Beltran
Dear Lake County Residents:

National Health Center Week is August 10 through 16. Sponsored by the National Association of Community Health Centers, this week is an opportunity for health centers across the nation to showcase and build support for their programs. The Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center maintains six health center sites. Two are in Waukegan while the others are in Zion, North Chicago, Highland Park and Round Lake Beach. These centers provide patient-centered medical homes for approximately 42,000 residents.

For decades, our health centers have provided high-quality, affordable primary and preventive care to diverse populations. Many of our patients are isolated from traditional forms of medical care because of where they live, who they are, the language they speak, and their higher levels of complex health care needs.  While all health centers must provide access to services without regard for a person's ability to pay, our services are not free. Rather, we have a set schedule of fees and corresponding discounts for the services we provide.

I encourage you to learn more about our health centers, especially if you are looking for a healthcare home with a longstanding history of meeting the community's healthcare needs.

Sincerely,

Tony Beltran
