The Book Fair was a Success!- PRESCHOOL and K-8 Campus Thanks to our many Grandparents and family members who attended the book fair. We appreciated your patience and good nature as you waited. Thank you for making this a successful book fair and a very pleasant day for the children. Because we surpassed our goal of 5% over last Fall's fair, Mr. Calabria has agreed to become our first ever Historic Anaheim Book Fair Pharaoh! All of the past pharaohs became mummies, so Mr. C. will be wrapped as an Honorary Mummy! Be prepared to cheer on our mummy-makers this coming Wednesday, October 2 during flag salute. Raajasvi T. (Schoening) & Brighton K. (Wagner) were the Guessing game winners at our book fair. The weight of the sand was 216 oz. Both of these students guessed within 4 oz. Both students picked out merchandise from the book fair for their winnings. Congratulations!

Feature Article Historic Anaheim Campus Celebrates Johnny Appleseed
Everyone at Historic Anaheim Preschool joined together yesterday Thursday, September 26th to celebrate the nurseryman Johnny Appleseed. He told stories to the children in how he started to collect apple seeds from cider presses. He also told the children about his various journeys to different places.
Right after story time with Johnny Appleseed, each class was able to meet and take a group picture with him. Some were able to ask questions while others enjoyed looking at his hat. Once meeting Johnny Appleseed was over, students went back to their class and enjoyed more apple treats such as apple chips, apple pies, and applesauce. They were able to learn about different kinds of apples.
The Johnny Appleseed Celebration was a great success. Everyone enjoyed meeting him and also eating special apple snacks!
At the Historic Anaheim K-8 campus, Kindergarten and 1st Grade celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day with food, fun, and games.
