Enrollment Celebration- MAIN Campus
You are cordially invited to our annual enrollment celebration barbeque! All students and parents will be treated to a hot dog lunch (turkey or veggie dog, chips, cookies, fruit, and drink) on the big field on Monday, May 13. Lunch times are as follows:
Kindergarten: 11:30 A.M.
1st Grade: 11:15 A.M.
2nd Grade: 11:30 A.M.
3rd Grade: 11:45 A.M.
4th Grade: 12:00 P.M.
5th Grade: 12:15 P.M.
6th Grade: 12:30 P.M.
Junior High: 11:15 A.M.
All students and parents will also be treated to a snow cone. Free dress for all! Bring a blanket to picnic on the grass!
 
JK & K Spring Musical - PRESCHOOL & MAIN Campus

Our annual Spring Musical for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten is

Wednesday, May 15th at 5:30 P.M. Students must be dropped off at the Main Campus Cafeteria promptly at 5:00 P.M. in their full costume. You must sign your child out with their teacher before leaving after the performance.

 

JK students will be traveling to the Main Campus on Monday and Wednesday for rehearsal. The campus will provide transportation for your child via school bus. Students will return to the Preschool Campus by lunch time on both days.

Bruce Hockman Carnival - PRESCHOOL & MAIN Campus

Join your fellow Fairmont Private School students for a day full of fun, prizes, and activities at the Historic Anaheim Campus! Enjoy all carnival attractions for one low price. Snacks for all carnival guests include popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones. Pizza and drinks will be served to 2nd grade-7th grade students. Activities include inflatables, classic carnival games, hairspray, face painting and many other

exciting booths. Don't miss out on the fun! The Bruce Hockman Carnival is created and staffed by 8th Grade students from the Anaheim Hills, Historic Anaheim, North Tustin, and International Academy campuses. Preschool Graduation - PRESCHOOL Campus

Preschool Graduation Pictures were taken this week. Every child's picture was taken. If you would still like to order pictures, extra order forms are available in the front office. Please turn your order form to the wooden Activities box in the Front Office by Monday, May 13th.

Cap & Gown Orders

We are still missing some Graduation Cap & Gown orders. Students entering JK or K next school year will be graduating.

The package is $20.00. It includes the cap, gown, and a 2012 tassel. Please turn in full payment into the wooden Activities box in the Front Office by Monday, May 13th.


Eighth Grade End of the Year Activities - MAIN Campus

As the year draws to a close, the eighth grade students are met with both excitement and a little bit of sadness as their years the at the Historic Anaheim campus come to an end. The end of the year brings many exciting activities for our junior high students. If you have not already received it, here is a copy of the end of year packet that was sent home with all the eighth grade students. It holds information on the End of Year Dance, permission slips for end of the year activities, and information on the Promotion ceremony that will take place on Thursday, June 13 at 6:00 P.M. in our gymnasium.

Student Art Showcased at the Imagination Celebration

 

 

Imagination Celebration  

 

The month of May means, "Imagination Celebration Time". This is a county-wide Celebration of the arts. There are three art exhibits at South Coast Plaza's Crate and Barrel Wing this year.

1. 1,000 Pieces of Art - about 1,000 pieces of student art will be on display

2. All District Show - This show includes all the schools from Orange County if their teacher participated

3. The Festival of Art in Laguna Beach Show - These pieces will be highlighted at the Festival of Arts all summer long

The visual arts are an important part of the Imagination Celebration. This exciting exhibit showcases student artwork juried by the county's top art educators and professional artists. It will be on display at the Imagination Celebration Gallery at the South Coast Plaza Crate and Barrel Wing (3333 Bear St., Costa Mesa) from May 8th - 20th. There will be a reception Saturday, May 11th. The time schedule is as follows:

Grades K-2 - 10:30

Grades 3-5 - 11:30

Grades 6-12 - 12:30

Historic Anaheim has 63 pieces of art included in these special shows. Please enjoy looking at our "Famous Artists" and the names of their art. We are so proud of all our artists! Thank you for supporting the arts.

Last week we featured our outstanding students who advanced to the county and state science fairs. We accidentally omitted the following:

 

Bryan N. won a special award for his project "An Improved Viscometric Method for Studying the Relationship Between Density and Viscosity.." The award was given by the Los Angeles Society of Petroleum Engineers.

 

Pelin E. won the American Chemical Society award for her project, "The Effects of Acid and Heat on Fructose."

 

Andrew K. won the Society of Automotive Engineers award for his project, "Algae and Light Growth."
