Drama Students THRILL Parents and Classmates in "October 31st"

On Tuesday, January 29th, the Junior High Drama class presented their play "October 31st." The 24 students, under the tutelage of drama teacher, Karen O'Hanlon, created the concept, invented the characters, and wrote the dialogue for this original play.

The play was set at the Hallows Academy, the top Halloween character training facility in all of Transylvania. The premise of the play is the students and teachers are preparing for the annual fright festival. The school principal, Edgar Allen Poe, wants to win the fright festival no matter what it takes but the students want to do something different. In the end, the students and staff of Hallows Academy come to a compromise, a thrilling dance routine to  "Thriller."

Brilliant new characters like Ms. Winchel, a Hallows Academy teacher who can also shape-shift, and Guilianna, the zombie interested in becoming a fashion icon, mixed with traditional characters like Little Bo Peep and Freddy Krugar created a memorable story that the audience will never forget!
