Sofie J. has been selected to exhibit her work at the Sofie G Artwork Imagination Celebration Poster exhibition. She is one of 29 finalists chosen from over 500 submissions. Works of art will be on display from April 20th to May 16th at various venues across Orange County.  The Imagination Celebration is a joint venture between Arts Orange County and the Orange County Department of Education. In addition to her artwork being on display, there will be a chance to vote for Sofie's artwork as the "People's Choice" winner. Voting will begin online January 21st. To vote, go to www.SparkOC.com and click on "Imagination Celebration Poster Contest: Cast Your Vote." Voting will continue through February 1st.

Several of our students were chosen as finalists in the 2013 California Department of Boating and Waterways "Safe and Wise Water Ways" poster contest. California  elementary and middle school students are invited to participate in this contest. The contest, a twenty year tradition,  has a primary goal of educating students to be safe and wise in or near the water. One winner from each grade level (K-8th) has their poster selected to be featured in the department's water and boating safety calendar. Historic Anaheim is excited to have Tiffany K. be selected as the winner in the 6th grade division. Other Historic Anaheim students had their artwork chosen as finalists. These students are sixth graders, Jamie C., fifth grader, Kiara M., fourth graders Dean A. and Emily B., third grader, Nora D., and second grader, Courtnie B.

Students' winning artwork can be seen on Fairmont's Flickr page.
