JK & K Buddy Lunch - PRESCHOOL & MAIN Campus
On Friday, January 11th, Junior Kindergarten students will be going to the Main Campus to visit the Kindergarten classrooms as well as have lunch with a Kindergarten Buddy! They will rotate around the specialty classes - Art with Mrs. Gormin, Computers with Ms. Kelbaugh, Science with Mrs. Baham, and Library with Ms. Lloyd and Ms. Kuka. We would like to extend an invitation to parents if they are able to attend. Please see your Front Office for more information.

Winter Extra-Curricular Classes - PRESCHOOL Campus
The winter session for our extra-curricular classes will start Monday, January 14th. We are excited to be offering a new language class: French! Our extracurricular classes allow your child to enjoy fun and enriching courses while broadening their experiences without even leaving the campus. Don't wait too long because some classes have limited space. Full payment for classes should be submitted by Tuesday, January 22nd (to the wooden Activities box). There will be no adds, drops, or refunds after Friday, January 25th. Don't miss out! The sign-up sheets are located in the Front Office. Please contact Ms. Dodson for more information at [email protected].

Six Flags Reading Program - MAIN Campus
The HAC Library is excited to participate in the Six Flags Read to Succeed program! Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before the deadline of February 1, 2013 is eligible for a free admission ticket to our local Six Flags Theme Park.
Click here for the information letter and reading log.

Calling All Parents - MAIN Campus
Parents, want to support our campus and your student in a way that is really fun?  Volunteer in our library!  We have several openings in the morning or afternoon, and it is a once-a-month commitment.  The children love it when their parents are here, and it gives you great insight about how our school revolves around reading.  It also helps our librarians tremendously when traffic is busy and kindergarten or first grade classes come in each week.  For more information, please stop by the library, email either Mrs. Kuka at [email protected] or Mrs. Lloyd at [email protected], or call 714.563.4050, ext. 1185.  Our librarians will welcome you, and train you.  We appreciate your consideration.

6th-8th Grade Ski Trip - MAIN Campus
Registration Ski Trip 2012 packets for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Ski Trip went home with your students before Winter Break. The trip will take place on Thursday, January 31st. Forms are due back to the Activities office by Tuesday, January 15th. The packet can also be seen here. We highly recommend that students rent their equipment locally to prevent them from waiting in the long rental line on the mountain. Local rental information is included in the packet.

Special Academic Counseling Opportunity for 8th Graders

Mrs. Weems, the 9th grade Academic Counselor for 2013-14 incoming freshman at Fairmont Prep, will be on site at the Historic Anaheim Campus for one day, January 29. Parents who sign up in advance for a 45-minute appointment will be able meet one-on-one with Mrs. Weems to create their student's Prep Four-Year High School to College Plan. Mrs. Weems will have the student's transcripts at the meeting, so she can suggest the best and most individualized course of study.

For those interested in the Medical Magnet or Engineering Magnet, an appointment with Mr. Prado, the Magnet Counselor is advised. Mr. Prado has agreed to give 45-minute appointments to those Fairmont 8th grade parents who contact him directly. Email Mr. Prado directly to meet with him at the Prep. His email address is [email protected].

Please contact Mr. Calabria to sign up for your time with Mrs. Weems on January 29. Space is limited.
