Thanksgiving Meal Project

In preparation for the celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Fairmont Parent Association has decided to team up with the City of Anaheim's "Thanksgiving Meal Project." The food we will be collecting will help deserving families celebrate Thanksgiving directly in the community where our children attend school!

This is a completely voluntary event for each family. Each classroom will have donation bags for the food items that will be collected.  Each teacher will provide a letter to each student requesting a certain food item or gift card.  The children will return the requested food items to the bag located in their respective classroom. The requested items are as follows: cans of gravy, corn, green beans, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cornbread, macaroni and cheese, and cake mix. If you don't have time to run to the store, you may select to donate $5 instead. Your generosity to these local deserving families will be truly appreciated! Please, also feel free to bring in any canned good items, as they would be greatly appreciated as well.

If you would like to have your own family or place of business adopt a family, please contact Michael Felix directly, and he will provide you with a collection bag. You may donate these items until November 19, 2012.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email the FPA Community Service Chair Michael Felix at the number listed below.
