It's already November and we are heading into the cooler weather so more of our matches are starting to enjoy indoor activities but that hasn't stopped us from getting out in the community.

On Sunday, October 19th, Club M participated in the Healthy Halloween Walk hosted by Healthy Henry County Communities. We had a Monster's University theme and had a fun monster ball toss activity for all the children who were out at the event. We loved networking with so many families.

Club M had Chris Kemper and Cherry Sandeen join us on October 22nd at Winfield-Mount Union and Mount Pleasant and they brought a fun photo shoot so that our matches could show their support for Red Ribbon Week. Our matches dressed up in red and wrote the reason why they wear red for Red Ribbon Week to promote being drug free.

Club M in collaboration with Iowa Wesleyan College hosted our Make A Difference Day service project on Sunday, October 26th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the United Thru Play Park. There were 13 individuals who participated in cleaning up the park and the group was able to accomplish many tasks including sanding and sealing the picnic tables, putting up new fence boards, and picking up trash. We are hoping to continue these collaborative service projects in the future so if you were unable to join us this time, please consider joining us at future events.

On Saturday, November 15th, Club M will be hosting its Mentor for a Day event at the Howe Center at Iowa Wesleyan College. Mentor for a Day is being planned by mentors of the Developmental Psychology course at Iowa Wesleyan College which is our service-learning partner.
