On Thursday, February 27th at 5:30, Clark Elementary in New London will host their third annual Science Fair! Students from grade K-5th will have their projects on display. 
  
On Friday, March 7th at 5:30, Van Allen Elementary will be hosting the Van Allen Carnival!
  
On Friday,  March 14th at 5:30, Salem Elementary will host the Salem Carnival!

February has continued to be a cold, snowy month but things are just starting to heat up at Club M!  Our new matches are beginning to know each other well and it has been fun to watch their relationships blossom!

 

Club M Chocolate Carnival!!!

 Celebrate Fat Tuesday with Club M as we host our 1st Chocolate Carnival! What better way to kick off the Mount Pleasant's Almost All Chorus Night! Enjoy your chocolate and then make your way to the gymnasium and enjoy music by the Mount Pleasant students!

There are two ways to get involved:
1.  Showcase what chocolate creation you can create by signing up today for a table. Culinary Vendors (anyone who can make a delectable chocolate dessert) are FREE. If you are interested in a table, please contact Club M at 319-217-2765 or cgerst@iastate.edu. Vendor space is limited so sign up today!

2.  The event will be open to the public at a cost of $10 per person to walk the Carnival and indulge in chocolate treats!  Tickets will be sold at the Iowa State Extension Office or at the door.  Tickets are limited!
  
Mentoring Day on the Hill
 On January 30th, we took some of our mentors and mentees to the Capitol building in Des Moines to celebrate National Mentoring Month.  What a fun day we had!  We received a tour of the Capitol and ate lunch at Zombie Burger.  What a fabulous group of young people to help us advocate and celebrate mentoring!

2)  Ask your work or church to put a blurb about us in their Newsletter

3) Facebook about the fun you are having as a Club M Mentor
4) Talk to a friend about us....and help recruit more Volunteer Mentors
