2015 Legislative Overview
News to Note:
The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) has not received guaranteed funding for people in urgent need on the DDA waiting list, but did receive increases for transitioning youth services and provider rates.

A bill passed that will set up a program that allows individuals with disabilities and their families to open tax-advantaged accounts, similar to college savings accounts, to save for disability-related expenses.

Another bill will prepare and support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help train law enforcement.
