Save the Date: Annual Meeting & Party!

Community Food Co-op's Annual Meeting and Party
Saturday, March 7, 5 to 9:30 pm
Bellingham Cruise Terminal (in Fairhaven)
Mark your calendars for the Co-op's biggest event of the year!
There'll be great music from Julian MacDonough & Friends Jazz Trio and Bellingham favorites The Atlantics.
General Manager Jim Ashby will update us on the "State of the Co-op," we'll kick off a yearlong discussion about "The Co-op Difference," share lots of other interesting Co-op updates, and introduce the Board candidates.
And, of course, there'll be great food including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Plus, the camaraderie of an evening well-spent with your fellow Co-op member-owners.
Want to help at the event? We rely on volunteers to throw the best darn party in Bellingham. Contact Karl, if you want to join our fun volunteer crew. |

Heads up, Bellingham! Here Come the Bike-powered Food Carts!
This seems like an entrepreneurial idea custom made for Bellingham. What say you, food entrepreneurs? Got an idea for a bike-cart food biz?
Read about this new food trend at Grist, and then let us know when you open up your bike-powered food biz. We can't let Portland be the only West Coast city cool enough to do this! |

Artist Sarah Denby Donates Proceeds from Art Sale
Let's all say HOORAY for artist Sarah Denby! Sarah had her art on display in the Cordata cafe, and donated proceeds from the sale of the above painting, titled "Caminar en el Parque," to enable seven students from low-income families to attend Mountain School in the North Cascades this spring.
If you missed Sarah's art show, visit her website to see more of her work.
The Co-op is grateful to all the artists that share their work in the rotating art display at the Cordata store. We are very fortunate to have so many talented local artists.
Currently on display is a photography exhibit from Kristin Borst of Bear Creek Photography. Her work will remain on display through mid-March, and you can see more of her work on her website. |
