Here are the rules:
1. The contest runs from August 15 to September 15.
2. Any local cake eater can enter, but you must come in to the store to pick up your winnings. Cake will not be mailed or delivered.
3. The winner will be announced September 22 on the Kitchen Notes blog and our other social media channels.
4. The winner will receive one piece of cake every week in October. Free cake for a whole month!!

Submit to: saray@communityfood.coop, and feel free to also share your Cake Face on our Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram feeds tagged #cakeface. Please remember to also email your entry and contact info to Sara so we can let you know if you win!

Vote Co-op!
It's time to vote for the 2014 Best of the Northwest. In 2013 we won Best Health Food Store, but we are so much more than that. We are also strong contenders for Best Bakery, Best Dessert, Best Grocery Store, Best Produce...
We have the best of the best in all of those categories, and if you haven't tried the Co-op bakery's scratch-made Tiramisu or Lemon Cloud Cake, then you are truly missing out on two of the best desserts in Bellingham.

We'd appreciate your vote. Thanks!

And in Guatemala, coffee rust now covers 70 percent of the crop, resulting in the loss of at least 100,000 jobs and a 15 percent drop in coffee output over the past two years.
