"Psycho-Therapy: 'christians' who Use their Past as an Ongoing Excuse for their Bad Behavior in the Present"

There is a major difference between "going to church" vs. "gathering together for fellowship".  They are two different worlds.  One devolves into being nothing more than a mere social club; while the other facilitates a drawing upon, and impartation of, true spiritual things carrying genuine spiritual substance... thereby, further provoking one another to love and to good works.  Sadly, over the years, I have found that I cannot fellowship with most professing "christians" of my day.  Because as soon as I go off "the beaten path" of all that their traditions limit, I am viewed as a heretic.  Years ago, this wrecked me for a while; until one day, when I realized something appalling.  Most of us (professing "christians") are still identifying ourselves with the Old Man, who has already been crucified... put to death... buried... in the physical body of Christ's own flesh at Calvary; that former earthy identity we received from Adam, and through the lineage of our individual, natural families.  It is the earthy identity associated with our natural name and family's expectations, we received through our earthy parents.  What, you have never met a "christian" who uses their past as an ongoing excuse for their bad behavior in the present, today?  Do you know that we have actually gone about and set up "our churches" based upon the strife and divisions generated by this earthy identity and natural name?  Sure we have!  And we think that God wants to "heal" or "fix" that Old Man; or even worse, "heal" or "fix" us from that Old Man.  On the contrary!  Our New Covenant High Priest, Melchizedek (who is, and was, before Aaron) is revealing... or, unveiling... the New Man; not offering us psycho-therapy to deal with the memories of the Old Man.  The question is, "Which do we value more, or which do we believe has more to offer?"  The one thing that was impossible for God Himself to do, despite His being all-powerful, all-knowing and everywhere-at-once-present... was "heal" or "fix" Adam.  The only "solution for Adam" was in God's putting Adam to death in the physical body of His own Son, in the physical body of Christ's own flesh, on the Cross; and then, through the power of Resurrection, bringing forth the New Creation... in Himself, and with Adam being no longer present.  We don't need, yet, ANOTHER REVIVAL; but a REVELATION, that will bring forth an authentic TRANS-FORMATION... from deep, deep within us!

Hebrews 10: 24, 25 (KJV)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
[*You mean, the Father actually expects ME to consider someone else, other than MYSELF??  How dare He!!:-)]
25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

2 Corinthians 5: 14-17 (KJV)
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
[*The entire Adamic "race" died on the Cross, in Christ!]
15 And that he died for all,
that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh[*including ourselves!]: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. [*that is, or course, unless we are still viewing ourselves as being "in Adam"]

Revelation 21: 4, 5 (KJV)
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away[*Our Old Man died... passed away... on the Cross, in Christ's physical body!  But are we LETTING GO OF HIM??]
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful[*He that sat upon the throne DOESN'T REHEARSE THE OLD, but UNVEILS THE NEW... SO THAT WE CAN LET GO OF THE OLD!!]
