Pacific Hospital PDA Announces:
 
$3.1 million awarded to agencies in King County
    
(Pacific Hospital PDA) announces the award of over $3.1 million to 20 community agencies in King County to improve health care access and outcomes.

The Pacific Hospital PDA is a champion for effective health care for the vulnerable and disadvantaged in the Puget Sound region. Since 2003, the Pacific Hospital PDA has provided more than $20 million in funding for projects and programs for low-income uninsured individuals.

"We are excited to support the six innovative community programs represented by our new 2016 Major Grants," said Jeff Natter, PHPDA's Executive Director. "These new grants, coupled with renewal funds for our existing service partners, will significantly improve healthcare for a wide range of King County residents who otherwise would not have had access to these vital services."

The following agencies were awarded New Major grants, ranging from $70,000 to $180,000 for the contract year of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017:

PHPDA Building The Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority partners with community organizations to improve access to health care services in Seattle/King County.

   

In 1981, the City of Seattle chartered the Pacific Hospital PDA, placing in its trust the Pacific Hospital and surrounding campus, a historic Seattle landmark. The Pacific Hospital PDA leases the property. The lease revenues are used to increase access to health resources and to improve health outcomes in King County. On Jan. 1, 2014, the Pacific Hospital PDA began a 30-year lease with the Washington State Department of Commerce for 75 percent of the Pacific Tower property.
