Pacific Hospital PDA Announces:
 
Pacific Hospital PDA Awards $150,000
in Aligned Funding with Communities of Opportunity

SEATTLE, September 15, 2015 --   (Pacific Hospital PDA) announces the award of $150,000 to site-based coalitions formally affiliated with Communities of Opportunity (COO) under its aligned funding process. Funds awarded under this process will support COO programs that help eliminate disparities in access to health resources and/or improve health outcomes for underserved communities in King County.

2016 Funding Opportunities

To apply for the next round of Major Grant funding, visit our Applying for Major Grants website page after on January 6, 2016. Letters of Intent are due January 22, 2016 at noon for a contract period of July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017. Agencies can apply for grants ranging from a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $200,000. The Pacific Hospital PDA anticipates funding $800,000 total in this process, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the funding pool based on the quality of applications received. Organizations that are interested in applying for grants under $30,000 should consider applying for a Pacific Hospital PDA Nimble Grant.

To apply for the next round of Nimble Grant funding, visit our Applying for Nimble Grant website page. The next round of applications is due February 19, 2016 at noon for a contract period of April 1, 2016 - March 31, 2017. Agencies can apply for up to $30,000 in the Nimble Fund grant process. Pacific Hospital PDA anticipates funding $225,000 total in this process, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the funding pool based on the quality of applications received. Funding can be used for short-term projects, infrastructure/capacity development, planning, technology improvement, or training.

PHPDA Communications Consultant RFI

The Pacific Hospital PDA is also seeking a communications and public relations consultant to help us elevate our organization's profile and strengthen our partnerships in the community. The consultant will work with the Pacific Hospital PDA's staff, board, advisors, and consultants to develop a vision, strategies, and tactics to optimize the organization's community profile by showcasing our grant opportunities, current grantee work, contributions to the sector, and the legacy of our property and health care mission. PHPDA Building The Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority partners with community organizations to improve access to health care services in Seattle/King County.

   

In 1981, the City of Seattle chartered the Pacific Hospital PDA, placing in its trust the Pacific Hospital and surrounding campus, a historic Seattle landmark. The Pacific Hospital PDA leases the property. The lease revenues are used to increase access to health resources and to improve health outcomes in King County. On Jan. 1, 2014, the Pacific Hospital PDA began a 30-year lease with the Washington State Department of Commerce for 75 percent of the Pacific Tower property.
