Pacific Hospital PDA Announces:

Competitive Request for Proposals Process
for 2015 Major & Nimble Fund Grants

SEATTLE, January 15, 2015 --  Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority (Pacific Hospital PDA) announces a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process for 2015 Major and Nimble Grants. Grants will be awarded to programs and projects working to increase access to health resources and reduce health disparities among underserved populations in King County.

Major Grant Application
Agencies can apply for grants ranging from a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $250,000. The Pacific Hospital PDA anticipates funding $1.1 million total in this process, but reserves the right increase or decrease the funding pool based on the quality of applications received. Organizations that are interested in applying for grants under $50,000 should consider applying for a Pacific Hospital PDA Nimble Grant.

Applicants for the 2015 Major Grant are required to submit mandatory Letters of Intent by January 26, 2015. Based on the information provided in the Letter of Intent, the Pacific Hospital PDA will determine which projects will be invited to submit full applications.

The 2015 Major Grant Application and Guidance are available on the Pacific Hospital PDA's Applying for Major Grants website page.

Nimble Grant Application

Agencies can apply for up to $50,000 in the Nimble Fund grant process. Funding can be used for short-term projects, infrastructure/capacity development, planning, technology improvement, or training. Funding may be used as a bridge to support staff salaries during the project year only if there is a clear plan for ongoing future funding.

Agencies may submit applications for a Nimble Grant at any time. A total of $300,000 is available in funding for the 2015 calendar year. The Pacific Hospital PDA will announce grant awards on a quarterly basis until such time as the available pool of funding has been expended. The next round of applications is due by February 19, 2015 for projects beginning April 1, 2015.

The 2015 Nimble Fund Grant Application and Guidance are available on the Pacific Hospital PDA's Applying for Nimble Grants website page.
