CVEP Fundraiser, Just 3 days away...... 
Please join us Monday night at Bighorn Golf Club as our community comes together to raise money to help our local kids afford college. Proceeds from our 3rd Annual FAFSA Fundraiser will benefit CVEP's FAFSA "Battle of the High Schools" - a competition among valley high schools to raise awareness of completing the FAFSA, the application used by nearly all colleges and universities to determine eligibility for financial aid. As part of our ongoing mission to help advance a college educated workforce for the future economy of the Coachella Valley, CVEP will be awarding the money raised at this event to the local high school senior classes for winning the FAFSA application "Battle of the High Schools" competition.

Sending More Kids to College
 This past Wednesday, CVEP hosted its annual FAFSA Completion / California Aid Night for college going students at 8 sites throughout the valley. These workshops held in partnership with Valley high schools and College of the Desert are held to assist High School seniors and their parents in completing the FAFSA, the application used by nearly all colleges and universities to determine eligibility for financial aid. Working in conjunction with High School Counselors CVEP's Workforce Excellence team had the opportunity to witness flurries of activity and highly personalized attention given to every single student and parent who attended. CVEP's Workforce Excellence team is working tirelessly to positively change the lives of our Valley students by getting them prepared to go to college. |
"Take Charge America!" 
Tomorrow at the City of Palm Springs "Free electric Ride & Drive Event" CVEP's CViHub & Accelerator client is kicking off a raffle to win an all-electric, built in America, PT Cruiser. Tickets are $50 each, 3 for $135 and 10 for $400. The raffle drawing will take place at the Grand Opening of the CVEP/CViHub Accelerator Campus, on Earth Day, April 22nd. Proceeds from the Electric PT Cruiser raffle will go to support green businesses and create jobs in the Coachella Valley. Click here for more information.

Event to Welcome Thousands
The Modern Living Expo will take place during the two weekends of Palm Springs Modernism Week, Feb 15-18 & Feb 22-24th. The Modern Living Expo will include the hugely popular Pre-Fab Housing Showcase and Vintage Trailer Show along with live music and food trucks. Over 50,000 people are projected to attend Modernism Week with $13 million in expected revenue. A large portion of these attendees are from outside the Valley. For more information click here.
