CVEP FAFSA Fundraiser 
It's that time of year again! February if FAFSA Month. This year CVEP is hosting its annual FAFSA Fundraiser at the beautiful BIGHORN Canyon Steak House. The event is on February 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Proceeds to benefit CVEP's FAFSA Battle of the High Schools - a competition among valley high schools to raise awareness of completing the FAFSA, the application used by nearly all colleges and universities to determine eligibility for federal, state, and college sponsored financial aid. Celebrating its 27th year as one of the country's premier art festivals, the 2013 Southwest Arts Festivalkicks-off on Friday, January 25 running through Sunday, January 27 at the beautiful Empire Polo Club in Indio. The Southwest Arts Festival is one of the area's longest running, and a tradition with both Coachella Valley locals and visitors. Desert Town Hall 
The new season of the desert's premier lecture series starts in less than two weeks and promises to be the best yet. Customarily a subscription series only, a limited number of individual tickets are available. Speakers this year include Chief Medical Correspondent, CNN; Neurosurgeon and Best-selling Author, Sanjay Gupta; Founder of TheDailyBeast.com, Renowned Editor & Best-Selling Author, Tina Brown; former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush; Four-star general, former commander of U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan and the former leader of Joint Special Operations Command, General Stanley McChrystal.

CA Women See Pure Gold  The federal budget is in the Trillions and five (5%) percent is set aside for women, literally Billions of dollars for women. Boeing alone was awarded $7.2 Billion in California. They are required to spend 5% of that with Women. These contracts are available only to those that know. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is actively seeking Women Owned Small Business and will host the 25th annual High-Tech Conference for Small Business at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel. The conference provides a forum for the small business community to discuss contracting and subcontract opportunities with major corporations, federal agencies and JPL's purchasing and technical communities.
