CVSBDC Making an Impact with Local Businesses
The Coachella Valley Small Business Development Center (CVSBDC), hosted at the Rabobank Regional Business Center, provides practical assistance and quality services to small businesses in the Coachella Valley. The past few weeks the CVSBDC helped 3 local businesses secure over $1 million in funds to expand their business. One business in Palm Desert and two in La Quinta are now able to fulfill a few of their goals including expanding their physical location and hiring more employees. Since January when the CVSBDC first became a program under CVEP we have helped secure nearly $5 million in financing for companies throughout the Coachella Valley, including a medical clinic in La Quinta, a manufacturing business in Indio, a salon in Rancho Mirage, retailers in Palm Desert and entrepreneurs in Palm Springs, to name just a few!

CViHub at the WBT
Last week three of our CViHub clients participated in the WBT - World Best Technology conference. Only 100 businesses are chosen to present from applicants from around the world, the WBT is deal-focused showcasing varying technologies. Participating technologies are selected by - and presented to - over 100 seasoned venture investors and Fortune 500 licensing scouts representing a variety of industries. We are quite proud that the Coachella Valley represented 3% of the presenting companies. All three presenters did an extremely great job and held their own against the other "100 best technologies" in the world. Several deals are in discussion and any business venture updates will be given in the near future. |

What You Missed at the Summit
The Summit is a great place for CVEP to put on display some of our clients and to showcase the impact our regional partnership is having on the jobs market. One of our clients that is housed at the Rabobank Regional Business Center is PS Talent, who since opening this office has created jobs with more to become available shortly. Among many aspects of their business they are a production company and developer of video content for the 3D virtual world. For the Summit, PS Talent put together a fun video montage of a few CVEP clients as well as the CVEP team.
