People With Disabilities Face Complex Choices
The Affordable Care Act has set new standards - called - outlining what . But there's a catch: Insurance firms can still pick and choose, to some degree, which specific therapies they'll cover within some categories of benefit. And the way insurers interpret the rules could turn out to be a big deal for people with disabilities who need ongoing therapy.

5 Ways to Keep Kids Healthy & Safe this Back to School Season
Here's a few EASY ways to keep kids healthy during the last days of summer and well into the new school year.
Pack a Healthy Lunch & Healthy Hygiene Bag!
Schools are crawling with germs. In addition to making sure kids are physically healthy with a well balanced lunch, it's also a great idea to pack a "healthy hygiene" bag in your child's backpack. We send our kids to school with a kit full of mini tissues, hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes and bandages. These are great tools for keeping the germs away and keep scrapes clean.
Sunscreen Before and After School!
During the summer months we apply sunscreen often to keep our children protected from the sun. During the first weeks of school the kids spend a considerable amount of time outside for recess and the sun is still strong. We apply sunscreen to their arms and face before school and again after school during an afternoon of outdoor playtime.
Healthy After School Snacks!
Make it easy for our kids to have healthy meals with a bowl of fresh fruit on the counter. Fruits are packed with vitamins and nutrients for a healthy immune system and perfect for a grab-n-go afternoon snack. You can also keep other snacks on hand like homemade granola bars with dried fruit or yogurt cups that make it easy for kids to curb the after school hunger pains
Don't Skip Breakfast!
It really is the most important meal of the day. There are a lot of ways to make breakfast quick and easy. Boil a few eggs on Sunday night for a quick protein filled bite in the morning. Add banana slices to toast. Blend a yogurt smoothie with frozen fruit.
Get a Physical even if it's not required!
Not all grades require a physical before the new school year but it's still a good idea to see the doctor even if you don't have to. A simple eye exam could prevent some bumps and bruises if you find your child isn't seeing as clearly as he/she was the year before.
